Matthew Kohn

I'm Matthew Kohn. I've spent fifteen years in production engineering, building and running delivery pipelines, cloud platforms, and the teams behind them. I've been the engineer paged at 3 a.m., the lead who fixed why we kept getting paged, and the advisor who helped teams make sure it stopped happening.

Most of the teams I work with aren't struggling for lack of talent. They're stuck in slow, fragile delivery, a cloud bill nobody fully understands, or an AI mandate with no clear plan. My job is to bring clarity and momentum, and to leave your team stronger than I found it.

I work as one senior partner, start to finish. No junior handoffs, no bloated retainers, just the right help, scoped to what you actually need.

How I think about the work

A few things I believe.

Boring is a compliment
The best infrastructure is the kind you forget is there. Predictability beats cleverness.
Teach, don't gatekeep
I want your engineers to own what we build. Knowledge stays when I leave.
Tools serve outcomes
CI/CD, cloud, AI: they're means, not ends. The point is shipping value, safely.
